COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled conditioned. Keg: Filtered.
In 1996, the brewery innovates and launches Barbãr, a lager with honey.
Born of the ancestral know-how of a family brewery, Barbar beer will please you with its malt taste and subtle flavour of honey. It is brewed using water drawn from artesian wells on the site of the brewery, at Quenast, a small village to the south of Brussels. This area is well-known for the quality and the diversity of its beers.
Barbar beer is prepared from a secret and harmonious mixture of barley malts, hops and honey carefully selected by our Master Brewer. The traditional brewing method, associated with our unique strain of yeast, and the secondary fermentation in the bottle, gives Barbar the authentic flavour of a very special ale.

Case given to me for 50th bday. Poured into a tulip glass. 1 finger white head, deep golden color, nice cotrus aroma. Smooth albeit to short on finish but very nice overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I guess i just don’t like honey in beers. And I don’t really like lagers. It looks the part, but smells like honey and sweat. And it’s too sweet. Not very good.

A wonderful surprise, I really thought that I would not like a beer with honey, but I did very much. The taste is for gods, honey perfectly complements the flavour of the hops and malt. I will definitely have another bottle ;) just to see if the explosion of taste will happen again.

Bottle. Pours a solid light orange amber; head is large and loose. Not too much in the smell, just slight sweetness. Taste is a hint of sweetness in the beginning, a touch of malt. Super smooth and quite delicious - a pleasant surprise.

330ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Rich amber body, white foamy head, constant carbonation keeping it fresh. Dreaded having Barbãr due to my dislike of honeyed beers, but this wasn’t bad. I had difficulty picking out le miel in the aroma, but instead picked a cane sugary sweetness in its place. The taste is very sweet, with the booze adding more syrupy texture to it. Not bad, and not as bad as I feared.

Cerveza muy curiosa, al estas fermentada con miel en vez de azucar le da un sabor delicioso Nine Tails
