On-tap. Pours clear golden with a medium white head. Sweet fruity and honey aroma. Taste - sweetish, malty, fruity and a bit spicy, light alcoholic notes when warms up, mild bitter finish, didn’t feel too much honey flavors. Medium-bodied. OK.

UPDATED: DEC 3, 2013 The beer looks gold-colored, nice. It smells very fruity and rich, very fresh. It tastes exactly like that. Fine fresh beer. Perfect for during dinner.

Barbar the Honey Beer. It’s another strong ale but with the gimmick of 2.5% honey added, which I guess provides part of the sugars for the secondary fermentation. Not a huge honey flavour in the actual beer, though. Some in the aftertaste, but it’s easy to miss. Oh, Barbar the Honey Beer, where is thy bee sting? That would be the 8% alcohol.

33cl bottle at home. honey already present in aroma. sweet smell. Poors with a medium, yet firm head. Honey translates into a sweet taste, somewhat shallow palate.

Bottle 33 cl, BBE 30.05.2015. Pours clear pale copper in color with an off-white head. Sweet brown sugary notes in aroma, slightly toasted bready notes as well. Sweet grapes, honey and candi sugary note in taste. If you’re into sweet honey kind of tasting brew, this might be something for you. Not that bad, and in some way I like the sweetness right now as it works quite good as a dessert beer.
