COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottled conditioned. Keg: Filtered.
In 1996, the brewery innovates and launches Barbăr, ale with honey.
Born of the ancestral know-how of a family brewery, Barbar beer will please you with its malt taste and subtle flavour of honey. It is brewed using water drawn from artesian wells on the site of the brewery, at Quenast, a small village to the south of Brussels. This area is well-known for the quality and the diversity of its beers.
Barbar beer is prepared from a secret and harmonious mixture of barley malts, hops and honey carefully selected by our Master Brewer. The traditional brewing method, associated with our unique strain of yeast, and the secondary fermentation in the bottle, gives Barbar the authentic flavour of a very special ale.

A Mes rate: Stunned to discover we had not already rated this and the Winter Bok so we squeezed a couple of quick ones in at ZBF. Cloudy amber coloured with a very white head that settles quickly. Sweet and yeasty all round with a slightly spiced finish. Not the best honey beer, certainly not the worst. So so.

Sweet honey/vanilla aroma and also some koriander. Sweet herblike taste. Sharp honey on the tongue, lots of sweet and herby flavours.

Very easy drinking blonde. Like the honey undertones. Blonde opaque with thin tan head smells of toasted malts.

A good triepl esque Belgian strong. Pours an effervescent golden blonde with a thick beige head. The nose is with big esters and coriander/clove spice notes. A toasty wheat malt with a crisp and slightly bitter finish. Overall, a heav brew with a nice profile. Overall, a good brew.

Mooie geeloranje kleur met een volle kraag. Ruikt zoet, honing. Smaakt bitterzoet, honing, kruiden. Beetje fruitig.

Bottle, 0,33 l. Clear dark golden colour. Big white head with nice lacing. Medium carbonation. Sweet and yeasty aroma. Taste is medium sweet, just the right amount of honey. Some alcohol and bitterness in the aftertaste. Overall decent beer but a bit too sweet for my taste.

Deep blond color, bottle of 33cl. One of the nicest honey and spiced beer. Strong aroma (as her appearance), nice palate with the subtile spiced taste. In fact, you must try that beer ! Cheers !
