Zero carbonation. Different, but a very pour alternative grain ale. I do like the medieval styling jredmond (1029), New Jersey, USA

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 12, 2007 Rather different sort of aroma; maybe a bit caramel. Solid amber color with wholly non-retentive head. Starts quite sweet. Near medium body with mild carbonation. The finish is rather caramel sweet with no detectable bitter. It’s ok, but ... On the other hand it is incredibly better than Bud!! Might be a little bitter building over time. Certainly not offensive. Frank (1066), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 26, 2007 Ahhh... Sorghum. What is it? Nobody knows but you can make beer out of it so it’s A-OK in the book of Frank. Pours a nice golden amber color, crystal clear w/o much head to speak of. Nose is sort of a weird fruity molasses kind of thing. Flavor is rather clean and sort of caramelly. Carbonation is about average for a lager. Unexceptional but drinkable. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 22, 2007 22-Nov-07 (12 oz bottle: BevMo in La Jolla, CA) After drinking a bottle of Redbridge, this sorghum-based beer is far more drinkable and even enjoyable to some degree. It’s gorgeous when poured into the glass, the crystal-clear gold body and plentiful carbonation streams sparkle luminously. The off-white head is creamy, tall and long-lasting, gradually settling to a wide ring while leaving behind patches of dense lace on the glass. Aromas of honey, toffee and soured fruit are reinforced on the palate with metallic, nutty, moderately sweet and honey-like flavors, with a bit of soured fruit peaking out from time to time, and a distinct finish of vanilla, toffee and caramel candy. There’s also an interesting spicy quality to further liven things up. However, as the beer warms up, more of the metallic and soured fruit flavors come to the forefront, detracting considerably from the overall impression. Medium in body and well-carbonated. Overall, while this doesn’t taste like "normal" beer, it’s not so far off the mark that it seems like a totally different beast. Decent when served well chilled, though if I were gluten intolerant, I’d happily drink wine instead of this beer. Then again, I’m also a wine geek. scoobysnak (249), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA

The sorghum doesn’t give that different of a actual taste but somehow the aftertaste was somewhat unpleasant to me. If your into this kind of beer it is good I suppose. Otherwise pretty bland. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 31, 2007 Amber color, very little foam, whats there is beige...strong caramel on the nose, combined with malts and an almost artificial vanilla...."cows tale"-M.V....light and refreshing with a creamy palate and a tang to the finish, tart almost...flavor profile is similar to the aroma but seems just simple and watery compared to the wonderful aroma... | 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Clear and deep gold; headless. Sweet, syrupy nose. Light body; somewhat watery mouthfeel; lively carbonation. Odd taste, as expected (I’m not a big fan of sorghum), but I like to keep an open mind. Overall, the beer was a little too sweet for my buds. Made me think of maple syrup and fruit cake the whole time I was drinking it. Finish came with a one-dimensional, stark bitterness (plant stems, flower petals, iron), which lingered too long.
