ratman197 (3137), Arvada, Colorado, USA Jan 24, 2008 Bottle poured a clear amber with a small diminishing amber head. Aromas of carmel and light vinegar like aroma ( possibly sorghum?). Palate was lioght bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, straw and a light hint of fruitiness with a crisp ligfhtly bitter finish. Crafty07 (391), Florence, Kentucky, USA Jan 23, 2008 Shocker, this beer gets a poor review from ratebeer. This is only the second grain-free beer I’ve tried and I’d like to tell you its terrible but I can’t. It your basic light lager with a bit of sweetness and it’s still better than Bud,MIller, or Coors. Don’t let the geeky fantasy game name throw it, it’s not bad. edden (927), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Jan 12, 2008 1/12/08: Bottle. Clear orange bodied with a heavy honey nose. Reminds me a lot of honey flavored cough syrup with some grains mixed in. rob897 (62), Buffalo, New York, USA Jan 4, 2008 Gold color pour with no head. Interesting taste to say the least. Almost like a Non Alcoholic beer. Not terrible but if I needed to drink gluten free beer, this would be ok.
a10555 (123), West Chester, Ohio, USA Dec 30, 2007 This was just awful, like sucking down sugar water. I took one drink and dumped it out. Sweet Sweet Sweet that’s all i got. Pwn3d (1036), Manhattan, New York, USA Dec 26, 2007 Updated: Jan 6, 2008Too much carmel in the nose. Offensive off beat malt taste. Zero carbonation. Different, but a very pour alternative grain ale. I do like the medieval styling jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Dec 25, 2007 12 oz bottle split with Pwn3d. Body is golden brown. Aroma is caramel and malt. The taste is malt, watered down soda taste - not good. bhensonb (4182), Woodland, California, USA Dec 12, 2007 Rather different sort of aroma; maybe a bit caramel. Solid amber color with wholly non-retentive head. Starts quite sweet. Near medium body with mild carbonation. The finish is rather caramel sweet with no detectable bitter. It’s ok, but ... On the other hand it is incredibly better than Bud!! Might be a little bitter building over time. Certainly not offensive.
