Commercial Description:
This Golden Sorghum Lager will appeal to beer drinkers who prefer the lighter taste of lagers produced by the major brewers, such as Anheuser-Busch, Coors, Miller, and Heineken. This ale has a light crisp taste to meet the thirst quenching requirements of the lager style while still having enough body to interest the ale drinker during the spring and summer seasons. This beer has low bitterness and a subtle but pleasant hop aroma that will gently caress the senses.

Note: contract brewed for Bard’s Tale Beer (<A HREF=http://www.bardsbeer.com/ TARGET=blank>http://www.bardsbeer.com/).

Thin fizzy head. Reduces quickly. Soda bubble carbonation. Bright golden orange in color. Vanilla, ginger and sweet malys inthe aroma. A touch of honey also. Very appealing aroma. Thin watery flavor. Light malts and a bit of sournes. Minimal vanilla. Little bit of grains and some honey. Finish is clean and slightly dry. Nothing special.

Pour is a bright golden with a a white head. Aroma is musty with a little apple cider. Flavor is sweet but bitter with a tart finish. Not sure if i get the sorghum beers there is always something missing.

[bottle - 12 oz] Golden pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma is sweet with some good hints of caramel, nuts, and some molasses. Flavor is sweet at the beginning but disappears quickly to a light and crisp middle with some hints of apple skins and a very lightly bitter finish. Aftertaste is some sorghum and a bit dry. My first gluten-free beer. Rather interesting.

12 oz. bottle - Pours a clear golden color with a thin white head. Has a sour, grassy, grainy aroma. Flavor is much better than the aroma. Has sweet caramel malt flavor. A dry, medium body beer. Worth a try.

12 oz bottle pours golden with a monsterous dirty white head that laces pretty well and makes it almost impossible to pour. Aroma is of light hops. A bit of grass, some citrus and some floral notes. Flavor is lemony, hoppy, and some notes of light malt behind. In no way does this compare to budweiser. It is actually a pretty nice summertime micro. I think this was a little better than I expected it to be. Quite light on the palate and easy to drink.

12 oz bottle-pours a foamy white head and gold color. Aroma is funky vegetal, some malt. Taste is medium malt-some sweetness, vegetal, apple cider, faint hops. OK carbonation.

12oz, Bottled on 07/25/06. Hooray, fresh! Pours a pale amber with a miniscule off-white head that dissipates to nothing--reminds me of the water Marty got in Back to the Future III. Aroma is quite sugary sweet, with an aroma I can only assume is sorghum (I’ve never had it). Smells kind of like a melting sugary candy on a hot day. Very light anise in the background--also a bit grainy. Tastes the same with a tiny bit of paper addition. No hops to speak of except for a small amount of bitterness midway through. Thin bodied, light carbonation. This got a couple points for being a little different from anything I’ve had thus far. OK beer to try once, but I don’t think I’ll make a habit of getting this.

Bottle sampled with Stegosaurus. Pours golden with not much of a head. Nice sweet malts aroma. Flavor is sweet, with an underlining bitterness.
