does not count tbsween (1), USA Apr 7, 2008 I base my rating on the usability of this product which should be focused towards the millions of celiacs whose opinions are the ones that really matter here. I have personally asked many who love this product, especially compared to Redbridge. As a lager compared to other regular gluten-included lagers, I found it remarkably drinkable and savory.
fakepurseninja (493), Sammamish, Washington, USA Sep 5, 2008 I was at one time diagnosed (mistakenly) as having a severe allergy to gluten and was faced with the reality of having to give up beer (and most other grains) so I think this is a great product for those who cannot enjoy normal, barley-wheat-rye beers. On its own merits; it sucks. A notch above macro-swill. A little more character with some interesting toffee and earthy notes. I could toss a few of these back on a hot day with a bratwust. mgermani (599), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Aug 29, 2008 Pours a pale orange with a loose-bubbled head which dissipates quickly. Aroma is sweet and slightly off, can’t quite place it - apples? Tastes of maple syrup and green apple, seems all sorghum beers have this flavour but this one is more maple syrupy than the rest. Thin body with lots of fizzy carb. If I was told this was a cider I’d think it to be sessionable, but as a beer it’s best to avoid. SSSteve (1527), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Aug 9, 2008 gold under a small white head. aroma of caramel. flavor of butter and toffee. creamy texture. plastic aftertaste. sorghum beers suck. J_Hunter (165), British Columbia, Canada Aug 8, 2008 pours a yellow with a red tnt, liht bubbly head. aroma of hops and taste earthy and leaves a wet palate redgold07 (297), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Jul 27, 2008 Pours a nice bronze color with very little white head. Smell is sour. Flavor is very sour and tastes like it has gone bad. REALLY BAD. Maybe I got a bad bottle. It says it was bottled in February though... weird. Yuk.
12 oz. bottle.
