Deep gold to almost copper color, light head. Full body, floral aroma, good level of bitterness, makes it nice with food. Decent IPA.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20 scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Dark gold, white creamy head. Nutty floral nose with thick buttered toffee swirls. Sweet dried citrus flavors round with floral hints and touches of caramel. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitter finish. A pretty sorry attempt in my book...
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 arventresca (484) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 23, 2009
This was kind of creamy. Unique I thought from an IPA. It wasn’t overly hoppy either. Taste was fine but interesting to say the least.
3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopscotch (8212) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - OCT 20, 2003
On tap at Maryland Brewers Oktoberfest 2003.
Hazy, orange ale with a small, off-white, creamy head. Decent lacing.
The nose is of citrus fruit, butterscotch and yeast.
Heavily bittered with notes of apricot, caramel and grapefruit.
Medium-bodied with a very astringent mouthfeel and lively carbonation.
Lengthy, bitter finish.
Bitter from start to finish. Very nice. A hophead's "must-seek-out-and-find" beer!
