An experimental IPA brewed with Thai spices. We added Thai palm sugar, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaf, and galanga (Thai ginger) late in the boil to create a citrusy ale with a spiced finish. Thai spices mingle with Amarillo, Citra, and Cascade hops to create a balance of spice and hops. American 2-row barley, white rice, and crystal malts combine to create a crisp, dry finish.

16 oz can to IPA glass. Cloudy gold with a fluffy white head that lingers. Light floral nose. Clean and crisp, but not too thin. The spice is absolutely just right and mixes so well with the pine and citrus. Incredibly drinkable for 7.1 abv. So glad this is available in Indy now! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can: Nearly clear amber with a small, off-white head. Caramel, ginger, dry spice aroma. Taste is malty, ginger, lime, toffee...... A moderate, but pleasant Asian spice flavouring. Nicely different.

Is exactly as the name implies. The atone immediately reminds one of Asia and the hops are not too intense.

Pours a clear copper color. Thin white head with some nice lacing. Spicy aroma. I canít pick up anything but those spices in the flavor and I am not a fan. This could be really amazing to the right person. Iím just not into the flavors.

Draft to tulip at HopCat in Grand Rapids. Looks solid; malty though. A cloudy dark apricot with foamy white head. Smells of hops, citrus, and spices with a big but balanced bittersweet backbone. Tastes like it smells with a medium-bodied mouthfeel. Some lemongrass and mild lime. Enjoyable, if it is a little chewer than I normally prefer my IPAs to be.

On tap. Pours a light copper with a thin white head. Spicy and fruity aromas. Very spicy flavor with orange and citrus notes. Light to medium body with good carbonation. Very good and unique IPA. I think Bare Hands is going to make some noise in the Indiana Beer scene. Two thumbs up!

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2013 Tap flight at the brewery. Light golden pour. Aroma is lemongrass, verbena, and ginger. Pretty amazing flavor. Ginger, lemon leaves, and lavender. Very fresh and fragrant flavors with a citrus and resin hop finish. Pine resin lingers in the back of the mouth. Medium mouthfeel. Another winner.

What a unique and interesting beer. LEmongrass, spice, herbs, citric notes and ginger. First sip was weird but intriguing. My little sis quite the beer novice was blown away by this one. By the end the pint was quickly quaffed

Draft sample. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate to heavy complex ginger and lemon herb aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy spice sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a complex good beer.
