May 21, 2007 Rated 6/3/06: Ordered a couple of these drafts at the pub, didn’t find out until just now that this is brewed by Anheuser-Busch. This was a rather decent dry stout and it certainly has the right qualities. Aroma was a bit faint but pleasant nonetheless. Beer was very dark in the pint glass with a thin creamy tan head, could have been thicker. Medium lacing which is a bonus. Mouthfeel is borderline thin for a stout but not too far off, finish is extremely smooth and dry nicely done. The flavor is good, could have a touch more maltiness to it, not complex at all but enjoyable and easily drinkable. I gotta give some kudos to A-B for actually putting a decent brew on the market.

May 20, 2007 Pours black with a small head and lots of foaming effect. This is basically a watery version of Guinness. Decent, but get Guinness instead if this sort of thing is what you want.

May 12, 2007 This is the greatest beer to watch after being poured. It has a lava lamp effect as the foam separates from the body. It is almost mesmerizing. Flavor was pleasant and drinkable. Watching the separation in the glass is well worth the experience.

May 11, 2007 On Tap at the Oak room in Athens. Black, with a close foam head. Very smooth, with a lacing down the glass that is damn near perfect. The flavor is not so much, as the hops an malt are not as obvious as the carbonation.

Apr 15, 2007 On tap at the St Louis AB brewery. Pour is black with bland head. Appearance and sweet chocolate aroma show promise. Unfortunately it does not deliver. No body, very faint flavors of coffee and chocolate. The finish was salty. As though I had just licked a salt block. An odd sensation from a beer, to say the least.

Apr 13, 2007 bland, black water. doesn’t even come close to guinness. another bad prodcut from Anheuser-Busch. i wouldn’t waste my money on this stuff, drink the real stuff like guinness, etc.

Apr 11, 2007 draft. black pour with big creamy head. nice lacing. very light aroma of sweet chocolate and coffee. tastes of slightly roasted malts, light coffee and just a touch of dryness at the end. very light mouthfeel.

Apr 7, 2007 On tap at O’Leary’s. Black pour with tan head. Flavors of lightly roasted chocolate with sweetness and bitterness. Some hints of coffes smooth.
