Oct 10, 2006 I agree with my colleagues on this one...I certainly appreciate Anheuser-Busch’s attempt at creating a passable stout, but they’ve fallen short on a couple of levels here. I got it on tap, and it poured nicely, just like Guinness. Once the head settled, I could already tell it was going to be a "Guinness Light," though. There just wasn’t much body to it, and the flavor was just too weak. I live in a small town, and this is the only stout I can get on tap, so I’ll have to make do.

Oct 9, 2006 On tap at Hooters in Columbia, MO Was dark brown with an off white head. Taste was of a very watered down stout. AB seems to be trying to make a stout that is unoffensive to the general public.

Oct 8, 2006 Somewhat similar in appearance to Guinness, with a caramel and cream colored head. Aroma lacked the usual chocolate/coffee aroma of stouts. Flavor was like a watered down Guinness. I don’t see Anheuser-Busch taking any of Guinness’ sales with this offering. OK, but nothing special.

Oct 5, 2006 On tap in St. Dymphna’s. Deep dark black in color with a nice fluffy tan head. Malty chocolatety aroma. Caramel notes. Malty flavor. Finish is bitter. Dry tasting.Thin bodied. Tasted like Guinness. Ok.

Sep 28, 2006 You have to like AB’s intent here. But, this combines the negative parts of both Guiness and Bud, with a certain Mickey’s skunkiness. I had just a 2 oz. taster, but literally needed to choke 1.5 oz down. The beer looks great and has no real aroma, good or bad. But it just tastes terrible.

Sep 21, 2006 From tap at Tampa Bay Busch Gardens Hospitality House December 2005. Great stout appearance near black darkness with creamy head. Nice mouthfeel, Creamy near chocolate taste, some bitterness. If available in cans I would buy it as a Guinness alternative, but AB has no plans of doing such as of now. Not bad for AB.

Sep 21, 2006 Tap. Looks really good, dark brown with creamy lighter brown head. Faint aroma of cocoa. Thin Guinness-like taste. Tastes like someone put artificial flavoring in carbonated water.
