crizay (1050), Brook Park (was Tampa,FL), Ohio, USA Jun 22, 2006 Guinness, it’s just like Guinness, it has that irony chalky taste followed by chalky roasted malt and crappy chocolate, I don’t know what else to say, it’s a weak ass stout. Numenor (869), Richmond, Virginia, USA Jun 21, 2006 For an Anheuser-Busch product, not too bad... Thin body for the type and a light taste. However overall... better than is to be expected from the source. TonyBanannas (36), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Jun 17, 2006 Updated: Jun 19, 2006Draft at an Anheuser-Busch hospitality center. One of the weaker stouts I’ve tasted. I laughed when the tender compared it to a Guiness. Pours black, not jet black like an Imperial Porter, but dark enough. Aroma is of heavy roasted malts. The high point I thought was that the taste holds 100% of the sip. I was impressed. uglyblond1 (173), Nebraska, USA Jun 13, 2006 Not really a stout, and really a bit light bodied for a dark lager, it does have a smooth and malty flavor, some roasty malt taste that is pleasing, A refreshing hop character, but not very crisp. Goes well with a meal. A good choice from this brewer. eaglefan538 (2355), Wilmington, Delaware, USA Jun 11, 2006 For an AB product, not too bad. It may very well be my preferred such product. Poured a dark black color with a nice tan head that lasted the entire drink. The lacing was week only an inch or so at any time and it followed the drink down the glass. Flavor was not complex and the mouthfeel was somewhat thin (within style). Roasted barley flavor was present with a bitter finish. Initially there was a somewhat herbal or grassy type hop finish, but that disappeared by mid glass. Unfortuanately, the flavor took a hit for the plastic and somewhat metallic flavor in the aftertaste. tyndoris (1), Deltona, Florida, USA does not count Jun 1, 2006 It’s so good, we want it available in the stores so we can drink it at home! ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador May 28, 2006 Draft: Got a sample at Sea World (owned by A-B) where they have dedicated lots of effort to convince consumers that they are better than SAB Miller because the are still "American Owned". Maybe they should spend more effort in brewing than marketing. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA May 27, 2006 Draught at Taste of Durham. Opaque black color with creamy nitro head that had some lasting power and laced the glass. Weak roasty nose and flavor. At the end there was a definite hint of paint or some kind of solvent. Not what you want to taste. Body was a wee bit thin to say the least.
