Anheuser-Busch made this?? Interesting. Deep black color with a creamy Guiness-like head. A decent aroma and smooth taste. I was impressed with this. A nice "rare" find. On tap at RFD in Washington, D.C.

Rated 6/3/06: Ordered a couple of these drafts at the pub, didn’t find out until just now that this is brewed by Anheuser-Busch. This was a rather decent dry stout and it certainly has the right qualities. Aroma was a bit faint but pleasant nonetheless. Beer was very dark in the pint glass with a thin creamy tan head, could have been thicker. Medium lacing which is a bonus. Mouthfeel is borderline thin for a stout but not too far off, finish is extremely smooth and dry nicely done. The flavor is good, could have a touch more maltiness to it, not complex at all but enjoyable and easily drinkable. I gotta give some kudos to A-B for actually putting a decent brew on the market.

Had this at the Flour City Brew Fest. Very dark with think head. Roasted aroma. Did not enjoy the roasted coffe finnish.

Pours a brownish-black color with a creamy tan head. A slight roasted aroma of coffee and chocolate with a hint of caramel. Flavor was the same but very watered down. Not a very good brew at all.

On tap the Wachovia Center in Philly durings Wings Lacrosse game. Ok beer. Godd for a AH product. Slight dry finish with a roasty taste in the middle

Tap. Looks really good, dark brown with creamy lighter brown head. Faint aroma of cocoa. Thin Guinness-like taste. Tastes like someone put artificial flavoring in carbonated water.

typical bland nitro.....i swear they fooled me and gave me Guinness.....oh well, i enjoyed it some

Beer Knuckle Stout pours from nitro to a dense black color with a thick and creamy white head. When held to the light you can see some ruby hues peaking through the bottom of the glass. The nose on this beer is nice with some slight grassy hop aroma, and mild roasted coffee aromas. The palate, like Beamish is lean for an Irish stout, but has some good dark malt, and coffee flavors that glide over the tongue. Bare Knuckle finishes with more mild coffee flavors up front, then ends with a dry, slightly roasty, and bitter. A nice effort from A-B, but I don’t think Guinness or Murphy’s has too much to worry about.
