| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 14, 2005 Almost zero aroma as you would expect from a nitro tap. Creamy white head. It’s a lot like a guinness from nitro only maybe a slightly more bitter finish. Easy to drink but hardly impressive at all. Looks like they tried to clone guinness. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Jun 10, 2008 On tap at the Winder Hotel. Very light roasted grain with little hops. Nothing really to the nose - a light chocolate but faint. Dark black-brown clear with rich creamy light tan lacing head; nitrogen. Light body with creamy carbonation. Fairly dry stout with little malt flavor, maybe a bit of chocolate sweetness. Mild coffee sourness and dry bitter finish. A bit of tangy nutty after. Really just a weak Guinness clone. mkobes (2104), paramus, New Jersey, USA

Malty chocolatety aroma. Caramel notes. Malty flavor. Finish is bitter. Dry tasting.Thin bodied. Tasted like Guinness. Ok. BückDich (4856), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | May 2, 2006 On Tap at The Rhinocerous in Missoula and at MJ Barleyhoppers in Lewiston: Pours a dark black/brown color, clear with bright ruby edges. The nitro covers up most of the smell but a bit of thin roast and light coffee comes through. The flavor is very thin with a light caramel and tin flavor. No umami, lots of articial creaminess and thin dark lagerish roast. Not horible, but not even as good as guiness, which I can get everywhere, so, no, I wouldn’t drink this again. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 24, 2004 Draught, at Dukes Sports Bar, Manhattan. Dark brown with a generous foaming beige head. Distinct toasty aroma. Flavour is thin, shallow and short lived. The palate is unsatisfyingly thin. DerBiermeister (528), Birmingham, Alabama, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 23, 2006 I think this beer a bit underrated. It was better than Boddington’s or Murphy’s I thought. True I didn’t pick up much of an aroma, but it looked mighty tasty and had a smokey or burnt flavour similar to Guinness but hard to define. Overall, I was pleased. wunderbier (1271), Tampere, Finland
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 30, 2005 Tap. Deep black hue with an off-white, creamy head. Roasty/smokey/nutty. Flat nitro non-aroma. Moderately sweet, lightly acidic flavor becomes a lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter finish. Medium-light body, watery texture, lively carbonation. The bottom line is: dead, lifeless.
