500ml bottle (no best before date but brewed on 17 April 2010) @ Christmas tasting on 28 December 2010. Mid gold colour. Fairly clean and dry. OK but the main problem is that it doesn’t have enough Cascade. If you are going to use US aromatic hops bung in enough to make a decent impact. As it is this doesn’t really achieve that zingy, zesty APA feel. Not one of Barearts’ better offerings.

Clear medium yellow color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, moderate hoppy, flowers, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20101228]

ChrisOs Christmas Tasting. Clear gold beer, tiny white head. Light dry palate. Light lagerish malt with a whisper of honey. Tiny bit of hop. Not terrible by any means but chronically under hopped and much too lagerish.

Bottle @ Chris O’s pre-NY tastings. Floral, metallic elements and grapefruit on aroma. Taste is floral; grapefruit, cream, oil, metallic elements, a bit bland and dull. is this pastuerised? I can sense it will sell well in the English market.

Bottle at Chris NY Tasting 2010. Hazy gold lasting white head. Some syrup. Ok hops but not really cascades. Ok strong golden ale.
