Bottle at Chris O’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2011. Almost opaque dark brown color. Aromatic roasty aroma with grass and sea weed. Dry very coffeish taste. There is a grassy old coffee character which makes this unappealling.

Bottle at chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig ’11. It pours dark brown with some ruby highlights, thin foamy beige head and moderate carbonation. The nose is caramel, wood, filter coffee and nut. The taste is chocolate, sour tang, roasted malt, wood, caramel, filter coffee and earth, with a solid bitter finish. Ok, but too thin for my liking.

Dark brown with a thin tan head. Pleasant coffee and generally straight forward dry stout. A little thin in the body. Decent bitter finish.
