Bottle from the Barearts Brewery/cafe, Todmorden, W.Yorks, 06.04.12 consumed at Cabbage Moors, Campsite, nr Cambridge, Fri 13th April 2012 Pours dark brown with a large light beige head, smooth roasty stout, big hitter, the strength is noticeable but doesn’t detract. Some vanilla and a little hint of advocaat. Nice stout, described as strong stout but the strength and description are very similar to this listing. A6 A4 T7 P4 Ov14 3.5

Bottle, bought from the brewery shop, Todmorden, tasted in May 2008. Attractive dark colour. Good condition. Not too fizzy, not too flat. Rich malt aroma. Smoky touches. Strong roasty flavour. Barearts beers can be rather hit or miss but this one is definitely a hit. Shame I have no idea when it might be available again.
