1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 1/20 richc (20) - Bolton, Greater Manchester, ENGLAND - MAY 22, 2012
Aroma of straw and a slightly unpleasant sulphury alcohol mix.
Slightly cloudy golden colour with a reasonable head for the style, over carbonated and positively fizzy.
Flavour is a lot better than the other aspects of this beer, a basic malty sweetness opposed by firm bittering makes it pretty drinkable. Especially after a good stir to get rid of the fizziness!

Bottle from the Barearts Brewery/cafe, Todmorden, W.Yorks, 06.04.12 consumed at home Mon 9th April 2012 Pours hazy amber with white head. Initially there is a sweetish and the alcohol is noticeable but this is much the better of the Barearts beers that I’ve had so far. Quite fruity with a bag load of oranges steeped in alcohol, actually this is pretty good just when I was starting to become just a little bit disappointed with the Barearts offerings that I’d had so far this one comes up trumps, maybe this is their signature style.
