Only slightly better than the Carton Fusion, seems to have a bit more body and not as heavy on the lemon and lime, not exactly what I fancy as a refreshing beer, still it wasn’t offensive.

Had this one during my holiday in Australia april/may 2009. Golden colored brew. Aroma is lime. Sweet, lime, lemon, carbonation. Drinkable, but not really a good brew.

Did not have much expectation for this beer but thought I would give it a go. Surprised by the strong sweet aroma and poured with a fair head that did not last.

Someone got done by the Trademark police, naughty, naughty! And yet Barefoot didn’t sound too bad a name either!! Tasting from back in May 2008. Produces a very pale, gold tinged yellow, translucent and thinly looking with little to no action carbonation wise. A few awkwardly large bubbles cling to the glass, yet it manages a sloppy, whipped cappuccino foam, snow white in colour, atop which lasts and laces well - me thinks chemists have been at play! Noted lime zest on the nose, a little lemon juice also with little else. Mild lime, candyish start sours quickly. Slight tang of sour fruit, very light on and watery in flavour and mouthfeel. Finish is sour and crisp, very short. Quite clean, nothing more to write about really. Lacks malt and hop definition but I guess that is the point. Another generation ’whY bother’ beer. Another marketing department-driven stab at the market for teenage drinkers who want to get pissed but don’t like the flavour of alcohol. This looks like any other Lion Nathan lager - why wouldn’t it when most drinkers will swig from the bottle. Smells like a particularly lemony lager shandy with a squeeze of lime. Inoffensive odour, with enough citrus to cover any skunking from the green bottle. First taste had me thinking of Thai restaurants - strong lemongrass, which obscures any beery characteristics, like malt or hops. Weak malt backbone, negligible bitterness. Basically, another alcopop. It’s refreshing but I’d rather have a glass of cordial and then a beer. (330ml bottle, bb 2/9/08)

Like drinking fizzy lemonaide this is more spritzer than beer. Pleasant enough for a BBQ or the like but wouldn’t search this out.
