Draft at Harbinger Winery: Big and sweet malt flavors of creamed espresso, dark chocolate, soft roast and nuts. Hop aromas are herbal and earthy. Mild to moderate grassy hop bitterness. Big sweetness obscures the big hops, leaving the beer a bit too sweet for my buds, but I still enjoyed it.

Bottle @ Pinball. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocoalte aroma. Roasted malty chocolate flavor with hoppy hints. Has a fruity roasted malty hoppy bitter chocolate finish.

Unclear medium to dark brown colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, moderate yeasty, leather notes. Flavour is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, tart malt - berry notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20111216]

Bottle at Pinball’s - Thanks. Black - offwhite head. Hoppy porter, burned malts, chocolate, grassy, nice smooth body, nutty, hazelnuts, grassy, wooden/forrest/herbal hoppy. OK.

Sample from 65 cl. bottle. Hazy, brown colour with a beige head. Aroma is roasted, caramel and dark chocolate. Sweet taste with roasted notes of caramel, dark chocolate and hops. Medium body with a roasted, hoppy finish. Nice.

Bottle at pinball. Hazy orange-brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Light roasted aroma of caramel, dried fruits and dark chocolate. Sweet and roasted flavour of caramel, dark chocolate and hops. Roasted finish.

Bottled. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. dense brown head. Aroma of berries, light roast, spice and vague fruits. Flavour of herbs, grass, caramel, sweetness. Medium to full bodied. Ends sweet and roasty with a touch of bitterness.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma is yeasty and dark malty. Roasted malty, caramelish and hoppy. Bitter, light grapefruity and herbal. Bitter, fruity and toasted malty.

Bottled. A murky brown beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma has notes of chocolate and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of straw, cooked vegetables, and some hops, leading to a bitter finish.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a cloudy orangey brown with a beige head. Sweet roasty nose. Medium body, sweet roastiness, a little licorice and vanilla. Some malt bitterness. Definitely not a "Hop head Porter"! Just a nice and decent Porter. 161211
