UPDATED: MAR 30, 2014 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a black color with a medium sized foamy brown head that left good lacing. The aroma was bitter and roasty with a brewed coffee presence. The flavor was bitter and roasty with a hint of smoke and faint floral hops. Long bitter and roasty finish with lingering smoke. Medium body. Meh.

A pretty good stout. Nice coffee and dark chocolate aroma and flavor. Fairly ordinary but still good and one of the best I had here.

Strong coffee stout; chocolate was not apparent. Good color and overall look... a solid black. Full body as would be expected for this style and a satisfying / pleasing beer to drink. The strong coffee is not my favorite, otherwise I would rate this a little higher.
