Our Red Ale was brewed to bring out the most malt flavor possible. Made from numerous styles of caramel malts, used in near excessive quantities. Our red ale defines malt flavor. A brilliant scotch like color and pleasant toasted malt aroma are complimented by a bold caramel finish.

Taster on tap at the brewpub. Clear dark red color. Thin khaki head. Leaves pretty good, thicker lace. Caramel, dark fruit, light spicy malt. Light tropical hop. Medium body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Lightly slick. Moderate sweet, lightly spicy. Moderate bitter taste. OK, moderately hoppy red ale.

UPDATED: AUG 17, 2014 Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a medium sized foamy beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was faint overall with hints of vague fruits, maltiness and caramel. The flavor was malty caramel, crystal malt and hints of dark fruits and tobacco. Medium finish. Medium body. Meh.

From old brief notes. On draft at the brewpub in my hometown. Pours a deep red with small creamy white head. Aroma is bland malts, caramel, a bit of candy I guess. Flavor follows with bland malt, some bitter hops, and not a particularly clean finish. Not terrible but not something I would revisit.

Red and clear, like amber. Malty with very little hop character. Like a barley tea. Pleasant.

They brew a lot of beers that seem really similar to me. Light caramel malt flavor with just a touch of hops. Decent and over exaggerated in their description.
