COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Red Ale was brewed to bring out the most malt flavor possible. Made from numerous styles of caramel malts, used in near excessive quantities. Our red ale defines malt flavor. A brilliant scotch like color and pleasant toasted malt aroma are complimented by a bold caramel finish.

They brew a lot of beers that seem really similar to me. Light caramel malt flavor with just a touch of hops. Decent and over exaggerated in their description.

From draught sample at brewpub. Mild nutty sweetness with caramel. Bit of hoppy character but pretty mild nose. Coppery amber clear with thin head. Medium watery body with medium-light carbonation and a carbonic burn. Starts nutty with some caramel and toasted grains. Has decent neutral fruity character with mild bitter finish and nutty after. Dusty.

Draft sample at pub. Pours clear rad with off-white head. Nose is rater malty. Big caramel taste with a larger than average chocolate malt character, maybe some toffee. Balanced well with a crisp, noble hop ending. Tasty beer, even if the chocolate malt’s a bit overwhelming stylistically.

3fourths (6397) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 2, 2007
Draft at the brewery. Dark brown and burgundy colored body with a speckled bran muffin colored head... solid and foamy head initially but dies quickly. Very strong nose of toasted cereal grains, perhaps some cedar and tobacco notes as well, almost a little roast or burnt grains... this thing is all malt, entirely too sweet, slick on the palate, with a sweet and coarse husky grain flavor throughout. Too sweet and too coarse, finishing with an unpleasent flavor of soggy and moldy grains.
