3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Riserva 2009; 1 year old, batch L34.09, bb 12-14 (Dec 2014)
Hazy red-amber color, beautiful, with a medium-sized creamy head. Light aroma, caramel dust and liquorice. Good body structure; simple malt and caramel flavor, some sweetness, too much (sweet) liquorice for such a beer, and also the alcohol is too evident. Correct bitterness. Unexpected, but also a bit disappointing.

2.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Final bottle at Blairs last Garvie tasting : ( A murky, dark brown beer with no head. Rubbing alcohol / acetone on the nose. Taste is very different to the nose, sweet and musty with some caramel. Quite thin. Not really my style.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk. Murky brown-amber with no head. Massive, agressive acetone/chemical nose. Not nice. But taste is very different, sweet and smooth that masks the alcohol well. Interesting, tricky to rate.
