Great thanks to Emanuele and the staff at Ma Che Siete Venuti a Fà and Bir & Fud for sharing this with me on my last night in Europe. Pours medium brown with a minimal head. Aroma of chocolate, caramle, and dark fruits, Flavor is similar, bull of dark malts. Has some roast bitterness in the finish. Very nice beer.

Bottle. High creamy light brown lasting head. Pitch black body. Mild malty coffee aroma. Flavor also pretty mild creamy coffee with little hops bitterness. High alcohol percentage though very well hidden. Low carbonation. Long creamy coffee aftertaste.

Bottle 75cl @ [ Mafioso Blind Tasting @ yespr, Bottle #15.]
Unclear dark brown color with a average, frothy - creamy, good lancing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dusty. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, and a dusty feel. Body is medium, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is soft. (300508)

Bottle at GBBF 08. Riserva 2007. Recommended by Lorenzo Dabove (Kuaska), not your usual barman. Almost black with a small ruddy head. Sweet nose, hints of nuts and dark fruit. Sweet nutty caramel flavours, prunes and chocolate. The vinous character appears after a while. Full-bodied. A great Italian beer, no doubt.

Bottle at GBBF 08. Very deep brown and slightly oily. The aroma will put hairs on your chest at ten paces! Coffee, sugars, dark fruits and a load of alcohol. As you sip the beer, you can’t help but feel it is single-handedly giving you a hangover, and that’s from a tasting measure! The use of wine wort certainly makes for some interesting flavours, but I don’t think I could drink this very often.

(750ml bottle) Pours an opaque dark brown body with a medium-sized creamy tan head. Aroma of plum, root beer, oak, vanilla, and fruit. Flavor of plum, caramel malt, nuts, vinous, and herbs.
