Bottle. Pours dark brown with a small tan head. Sweet caramel aroma with dark fruit and grapes. Maybe a hint of orange. Sweet flavor with caramel and dark fruit. Hints of grape, chocolate and brown sugar. Finish is smooth and sweet and similar to the flavor with an added hint of citrus.

Bottle - "Brewed in 2010 with Cannonau Grapes". Pours a very dark, opaque brown with a short beige head. Aroma is dark fruit, grapes, sweet malt, soft grains, and caramel. Taste is big caramel and dark fruit notes with more grape in the background, powdered cocoa, soft grains and candyish notes. Body is medium-full with a soft, creamy carbonation. Ends with more dark fruit, grapes, caramel, sweet malt notes, and grains.

Bottle. Poured black color with an average frothy light brown head that lasted and produced excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy complex malt, dark grapes and alcohol aroma. Medium to full body with a sticky texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy balanced grape sweet flavor with a medium to heavy grape sweet finish of moderate to long duration. This is a standout beer.

Bottle. Pours dark brown, almost black. Wonderful full aroma of toffee, caramel, molasses, red grapes, orange peel and barley grains. Taste is the same, but less powerful. Medium body - maybe a little light for the ABV, but still satisfying.

500ml bottle. Reddish-black or dark brown in color without much head to speak of. The aroma is rather vinous with a considerable roast/charcoal presence. Complex for sure, with some dark chocolate. The flavor is like a red wine/porter hybrid, very roasty with bitter chocolate notes. Medium-bodied with a low, wine-like almost, carbonation level. A nice unique beer overall.

Big red wine character comes through in the aroma and flavor. Light chocolatey-ness and yeasty-ness reminds me of a chocolate malted.

Had this one at the UDRBM, 31-07-2010. Black colored brew. Dark fruits in the aroma. Flavor has malts, coffee, spices, some dark fruits. Creamy.
