On tap at Belmont Station. Colour... black with a thick tan head. Nose... quite roasty and chocolate-like. Palate... very roasty with an ash-like quality followed by charred meat, coffee, anise and a dry finish.

Bottle shared at a recent BA/RB tasting... A hand bottled version from Shaun Kelso, provided by my great friend Angelo (angeloregon)... Poured black of course. Great roastiness, molasses bitter-sweet tones, charcoal, and hints of dark chocolate, toasted oats, and coffee. Dry mouthfeel which was great too. Some nice hop flavors too for balance. What’s a Barley Brown beer without hops anyway?

Draught at Belmont Station. Black with a tan head. Great aroma that is a mix of coffee and roasted barley, and pine and grapefruit hops. Dry and toasty chocolate malt flavors and lots of hop flavors and bitterness. Just enough chocolate sweetness to balance the hops and roast. Medium-full body. Smooth and dry. This was a really nice hoppy stout, with lots of dry chocolate and hop flavors.
