Had kinf of a vegetal dirty nose. The spices were really lamented in the background of this beer. Crisp, but not really clean finishing slightly bland and watery. Disappointing. Nose of spicy pepper and grains. Good for a hot summer day in the high desert. Finished spicy and crisp, yet a little thin. jcwattsrugger (5583), Florida and, New Jersey, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 17, 2007 Sampled from tap at brewpub. Slightly hazy straw color with a thin off-white head. Lightly sweet aroma with a freshly-cut green pepper background. Light sweet start, but the jalepeno rally comes on strong late, and the heat builds quickly. Not a big fan of the chili beers, but beyond the heat this one at least smelled more interesting than the others I’ve tried. BuckeyeBoy (1699), Boise, Idaho, USA

I didn’t know it was a Jalapeno ale. When I took in the aroma I was thinking this glass must not be clean. Then I had a drink. This was a pretty nice jalapeno beer. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 23, 2006 Pours a bright gold color. Aromas of jalapeno, malt, and a slight hop. Flavors of pepper with a touch of malt and hops. Pepper finish and aftertaste. pinkzambia (989), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 24, 2006 Tap at brew pub:Semi-clear yellow gold with definite aromas of peppers - smoked green bell and jalapenos. In fact, I couldn’t believe how jalapeno pepper this beer is! It actually has the spicy kick of the pepper as well. After drinking it, you have a slight burning in the back of your throat that last for 3-5 minutes. The pepper definitely dominates this beer. I thought this brew was authentic, creative and innovative, but not something I would drink on a regular basis. IndianaRed (1562), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 24, 2006 Updated: Jun 29, 2006On Tap at the brewpub. light golden color with a modest fleeting head. Slight traces of lacing. Aroma was mostly the sharp spicy peppers and not much else. Flavor was again dominated by the jalepenos. The sizzling pepper burn was late and lasting just like it is in "real life’. I found this chili beer (of which I was rather dubious) to be up front, bold, in your face and exaclty what I thought a jalapeno beer should taste like. Very interesting.
