Pours an amber in color with soapy white head. Huge lemon aroma with some pine hints as well. Lemon and pine come in full on the taste too. Complex and full of flavor.

Draft at Brouwers. Welcome to Washington, Mr. Brown. Pours clear amber with a small amount of splotchy offwhite head. Resinous aroma, backed up by caramel. Smells like one of the classic west coast pine/caramel ipas I first got a taste for. Taste: slightly sweet up front, giant bitter pine follow-up, dry finish. Palate: medium-full body that feels a bit thick. Overall: solid, though doesn’t really wow me the way several other hoppy barley browns brews have. I guess high expectations is the price you pay for making so many awesome beers.

On Tap at PreFunk, Boise Jeeze, I could smell the fresh hops even while the guy was still pouring the glass. mostly clear orange witha fine but firm thin white head and even sheets of lacing. Classic fresh citrusy pithy up front west coast hop aroma. More of a woody sharp bitterness with a little metallic note. fairly light bodied, and a clean finish. A lot of regional hype on this beer. Glad I finally caught up with it, and it nearly lives up to it. Still, top flight IPA

On tap at Velo Cult in Portland. Colour...slightly hazy amer-gold with no head. Nose...husky-musky hops with an emphasis on hop infused sweat. Palate...even more sweaty than the nose! Resinous hops with a lean towards the tropical fruit side. Dried apricots and fruit leather along with sandalwood, cedar and cigar box strike at the mid palate and keep it all rolling through the long resinous finish.
