Prostman (1076), Pennsylvania, USA Oct 11, 2003 Updated: Oct 7, 2007This was actually a very good Oktoberfest. This was the first beer I had when I visited the Barley Creek Brewpub, and this alone made the trip worthwhile. Admiral (524), Schnecksville, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 4, 2004 Amber, offwhite head. Malty, caramel-like in aroma and flavor. Some grassy hoppiness in the finish, but not too bitter. Good stuff. JFURYCAT (729), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 23, 2006 This year’s version seems less woodsy than the versions of previous years and is accentuated more to an amber character that kicks with an almost macro-like aftertaste. The body is more creamy now but it could use more of a malty overtone to make me think its an octoberfest. Its not hard to drink and there isn’t anything repellent. beerbill (1322), Laurel, New York, USA Oct 14, 2005 On tap at BCBC. Pours a dark amber with a nice head that lasted through most of the glass. Caramel and malt aroma, which also comes through in the flavor. Slight hop bitterness. A little watery. richlikebeer (747), Easton, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 9, 2005 scarlet body, white fizzy head, nuts, pine, and toast in the aroma, somewhat similar in the taste, a grassy finish, a little watery in the body, just a hint of spices. a pretty average oktoberfest.
