This was a very balanced and clean red ale from a nice local brewery. Recommended.

2007 version re-rate: this beer has jumped quite few hurdles. The flavor is very consistent and its now my favorite beer there! It used to be my least favorite but now it has flavorful tones which act as a perfect lead in to the upcoming maibock. There is an apple-like flavor with some sweet caramel cherry undertones and a very barley-oriented crunchiness. The carbonation isn’t over the top but its bubbly enough to give it a medium-dry finish. The bar staff do a heck of a job cleaning the tap lines, and this was was crisp and crunchy.

on tap-pours a tan head with copper/red color. Aroma is malt, sweet. Taste is malt, sweet, fruit-maybe cherry. Smooth, good carbonation.

Copper pour with creamy, off-white head. Aroma of malt, cabernet, fruit. Tastes malty, with some cabernetm dark fruit, and caramel in the finish. This one is pretty good.
