Pours a dark opaque black body with a creamy light brown nitro head. Fairly light nose, roasty with some lactose and coffee. The flavor is quite weak for a Foreign Stout. Watery and dry roasted malt, this tastes more like Guinness Draft than a Foreign Stout. Lingering sweet lactose notes. Mouthfeel is thin and nitro’d with a bit of lingering coffee. I thought that I had heard rumblings that this place was getting better, but clearly I was misinformed.

Nitro tap at the brewpub. Aroma of fudgy, brownie, chocolate goodness with a hint of hops. Flavor has some of the same, but not as rich as expected. The nitro really kills the body on this one, I want a full, viscous body for something with a fudgy aroma, but the aroma and flavor notes are enough to keep the beer pretty solid.

On nitro-tap at the brewpub. Pours black with a thick light tan nitro-y head. Aroma of chalky, roasted malt and cocoa. Flavor is initially pretty good--sweet malt and chocolate. The nitro actually works for this beer. Eventually, though, the sweetness starts to buildup and cloy. 7/4/6/3/14 (3.4/5)

Darker brown with an odd malty-chocolate aroma. Flavor is chocolatey and roasty with some odd barnyard - and not in the good sour/Fantome sense. Not too good.

Draft at Barley Creek. Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Has good aromas of roasted malts with hints of sweetness. Very light body for a stout. A decent beer to drink but I think true stout drinkers will find it lacks some body and charactor.

Nitro tap at the brew pub. Definitely thin in the mouth, but decent enough flavor. I rather enjoyed it, although maybe it was because I was watching the Eagles destroy the Cowboys to get into the playoffs. This brewpub seems inconsistent anyway.

Draft @ the brewery. Dark brown, nearly black, with a tan/off-white colored foamy head. Terrible nose of soy milk, lactic acid, and old, stale coffee. Unbelievably thin and watery, the cold, spoiled coffee notes are there again, along with a stale chocolate soy milk flavor throughout. A few sips and we were done with this one. Epic fail.

Draft. Creamy white head. smooth and very drinkable, like a guniess. Im my opinion the best I have had from them so far. Would def have again

(draft, nitro?) Creamy tan head with cola-dark brown body. Aroma is medium sweet, coffee/roast. Taste is medium sweet, coffee/roast, light burnt. Watery light-medium body with minimal carbonation.

This is a very typical Stout. It had some Irish stout dryness and not much of the hop character of some American Stouts. Overall I found it to be mostly average but extremely drinkable. I would suggest this a substitute for a regular Guinness drinker but other than that is a decent Stout with no bells and whistles. Appearance: Served dark opaque black with a tan head and had mediocre lacing. Smell: Typical Stout aroma. Largely clean in the nose with subtle hints of burnt malts and very little sweetness. Taste: It seemed to be a bit lacking in depth but the dry roastiness was pleasant. This is an easy approachable stout that is a bit watery through the center with a nice dry finish. Mouthfeel: A bit thin but it stayed solid enough all the way through to the end where it has about the feel of water. Drinkability: If you are a stout drinker, (I am) you will likely find this beer to drink like water. The feature of this beer is certainly it’s drinkability. Hope this is helpful. Cheers!
