bigrond (846), factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 28, 2008 had this in a sampler. it was better then most of the others but still nothing great. beerbill (1157), Laurel, New York, USA Apr 30, 2007 On tap at Barley Creek. Pours a clear, medium gold with virtually no head. Extremely light aroma of caramel and malt is barely detectable. The flavor is a bit off and I’m wondering if this beer hasn’t overstayed its welcome. There is some light caramel and malt in the flavor, but there is also a distinct metallic flavor that’s telling me this beer is past its prime. Medium bodied. This is easily the poorest offering I have sampled from Barley Creek. hophead75 (1620), Boonton, New Jersey, USA Apr 22, 2007 sampled at the brewpub. Amber in color. Aroma is malty, carame. Taste is smooth caramel, and sweet malts. Medium bodied, with not too much hop presence. not bad. jcwattsrugger (3757), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Jan 15, 2007 on tap-pours a light tan head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-sweet/fruit, sugar. Taste is up front effervescence, medium malt-sweet/fruit. Light/medium body. JFURYCAT (701), East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jan 8, 2007 On tap at Barley Creek brewpub. This one has a malty sweetness which is abundant in a Speckled Hen sort of way but it has the medium-wet body of a lager and a dark-orange color. This one isn’t as creamy as the BC summerfest offering. Its darker and maltier. I can’t wait for this one to kick so the other BC beers can regain their space.
