COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Barley Days Brewery’s lush Harvest Gold Pale Ale lives up to its name. It has a bright golden body, with a creamy white head, and a surprisingly rich flavour. The mellow blend of light apple, peach, and spice aromas on a pale malt base, is complemented by a hoppy finish that is reminiscent of fresh-cut hay and autumn fields. Harvest Gold Pale Ale is a refined old world recipe with a modern day taste that will brighten your day with its sumptuous flavour.

Bottle from Brewpub Pours golden with light head which disappeared after a few seconds. For some reason, felt stronger than the 4.8% alcool. Somewhat of a citrusy finish that I can’t understand. Not a great beer. Not a Pale Ale as suggested on the label!

Pour at the Hole in the Wall -- awesome hallway size bar in the Junction -- is a bloody mess. Taste is sour malts, bruised hops & pennies steeped on water. Very disappointing. I’d advise a pass on this one.

From bottle. Fresh aroma, light grass some floral notes. Easy drinker, good season ale. Not particularly complex but smooth bitterness post light malt flavor.

341 ml bottle @ The Bull and Boar Belleville. Pours clear gold with a thin white head. Aroma hard to discern. Taste is a sharp grainy malt and some yeasty notes. Mildly tinny. Creamy mouthfeel with a mildly bitter finish. Much prefer their Yuletide Cherry Porter.

341ml bottle form the Brewery pours a sparkling clear amber ale with a good pale head which dissipates, slight lacing. Aroma peach sweetness and hops with a spice note and some grassyness. Taste is clean balanced hops, malts, somewhat sweet with a mild bitterness; rather refreshing.

This pours with one hell of an uncontrollable, whopping fizzbomb of a head. Smells a little like stale straw, which works to the beers credit considering the style. Taste has a little bitter honey and even a hint of grapefruit astringence. I’m probably appreciating this a lot more than I should considering I just got home from smashing bricks all day to pay the bills. Bottle.

341 ml bottle, purchased at the Picton LCBO. Pours a medium gold colour, low white head that doesn’t remain for long. Minimal aroma, little distinction.. Clean taste, reasonably carbonated. Slight haziness, very mild hoppiness, in fact fairly bland. Not like other English IPAs. Drinkable if there’s nothing else around but wouldn’t seek it out.

Bottle at Bishops Arms, Linköping. Golden beer with a big white head. Malty fruity aroma, grapes and apples. Malty flavor, hoppy citrus notes, some bread. Thin and rather boring beer.
