gatorpegasus (1), kingston, Ontario, Canada does not count Jun 20, 2008 Purchased this from the brewery and was moderately dissapointed because it was light for a porter with no real discernable cherry nose or flavor. I was dissapointed with it’s lack of "big flavor’’ and it virtually had no head and a Vicks cough syrup aftertaste. Although much better than it’s predecessor Glenora, it still has some improving to do. tomthompson89 (1051), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 11, 2006 had on draft at smokeless Joes, ruby amber colour very little head, malty aroma some cherries maybe??? lotsa malt and some cherries but more like a cough medicine, kinda sticky on the palate too Loyalist (1), Trenton, Ontario, Canada does not count May 31, 2006 Tried on draught at Red LIon Pub(Belleville, On.).Colour lacking that of a porter, could be darker. Aroma was grainy in an unpleasent way, with a little roast in the nose., no deseernable cherry aroma. Flavour was not pleasent, sour not from fruit, medicinal cherry flavour akin to cherry cough medicine. Could not choke down half a pint. asheft (717), Marburg, Germany Jan 12, 2006 Seb brought this meeting to the Jan 2006 MontreAlers meeting. Clear ruby with no head. Malty melanoidin aroma with subtle pine hops. Sour flavour of mostly malt with some cherry medicine and little to no hops flavour. Light to medium body with low carbonation and lasting, moderate bitterness. tiggmtl (4157), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Jan 12, 2006 Very grainy aroma has light suggestions of roast and fruit. Clear deep amber-brown coloured body with a low, off white head that recedes to ring. Cherry flavours are lost in graininess with some vegetal notes. Medium body is sticky with low carbonation. Bottle sampled at the MontreAlers Jan. 2006 meeting.
