Tap at Maxs. Filtered yellow-green with a frothy white head. Wine tinged all the way. Interesting vinous Wit, no doughy creamy tones..all sour. Lively carbonation. Quite enjoyable, really improves on the style, adds depth. Vibrant.

Pale golden straw color with a white head. Tart lemon aroma up front with a very strong orange character. Lots of orange juice and peel, very zesty, too. Some grass, a bit of wine, oak, and wheat. The flavor is slightly sweet from the wheat/bread notes, but quite citric and tart. Lots of orange juice and peel, some lemon zest, and a hint of grass. Light oak notes and a bit of a wine character.

Very zesty, juicy, unripe-orange-citrus nose with plenty of must and a vinous tang, lightly tart, dry and lively. Very refreshing, unusual, delicious. An experience, and a shame to have this without the non-barrel version for comparison. Draft at Max’s Italian fest.
