20080130 750ml bottle, Spirits RB. Yellow color with sturdy white head. Aroma is somewhat farmy with typical wit notes of spice and citrus. Flavor follows suit with light tartness across middle and spicy finish. Thinner body, refreshing.

Pours amber and hazy with a nice white head. Smells of coriander, cumin, some wheat. Tastes dry with some nice citrussy splashes. Nice, but not enough of a departure from Hoegaarden. $20 for this or $9 for a 6er of Hoegaarden, I’ll go with Hoegaarden every time. I hope these beers come down in price or I can’t see them lasting in this area.

hazy yellow with a thick white head. Classic orange peel, citrus, corriander, and foot aroma of most wits. Finishes slightly dry.

Bottle. Pours cloudy yellow. White head, two fingers. Nose is citrus, coriander, crisp. Taste is citrus zest, coriander, but creamy, almost buttery for the style. Very smooth, delicious example.

(750ml bottle) Pours a cloudy yellow body with a medium white head. Aroma of lemon zest, grass, wheat, and coriander. Flavor of banana, lemon grass, light clove, and coriander.

Bottiglia da 75cl al 23 Menabrea in Piazza delle Erbe; versa colore arancione chiaro torbido con schiuma buona ma non enorme; aroma speziato e soprattutto agrumato, sapore delicato forse un poco troppo dolce. La meno interessante, fra quelle che ho assaggiato finora del Barley.

Pale ochre-orange; medium, white head. Wheat & coriander, not too outspoken, bit peppery. Taste is exaggerated coriander, to the exclusion of anything else. Quite outspoken wheat slikness, full bodied, creamy. Quite classic, corander-dominated wit.
