Very nice floral and light citrusy aroma. Taste was very floral with a little corn and medium hops. Had a bitter finish. Decent brew but not worth me buying again. Nice to try though.

On tap at the brewpub on 6/23/07: Pours a transparent bright golden with a well-lacing froth of off-white head. Lightly sweet pale malty nose has a fresh, slight earthy English hoppy presence. Body starts lightly sweet and refreshing with a decent bittering hoppy balance and faint toffee toward a thinner, crisp finish. A good session brew.

Draft @ Brewpub: Clear gold, nice head and lacing. Nose of bright fresh malt, 2-row and sweet nutty hops. The flavor is nicely hoppy and balanced. Light.

While not a big bitter fan, I did thouroughly enjoy this version. Slightly brighter bitter bite than expected...well supported by a bready caramel maltiness and spritzy carbonation. Tad thin-bodied but not detracting at all. This was a very good example of an Americanized version of the style.

clear off orange pour w/ a thick off white rocky head and great lacing. Light aroma touch of toffee and a very light piney aroma. avg pal. Dry piney flavor very light, very plain.. likely very true to the style.. a touch of bitterness in the finish.

Draft. Clear amber/orange. Lite beer in so many ways. Pale malt and caramel in the taste, with no ’bite’ anywhere. Light body; thin texture.

On tap RBSG 07. A golden amber pour with a mostly malt aroma. A full malt flavor as well with a good bittering finish. A tad thin on the palate but a solid drinker.

Light yellow in color, moderate head. Bready, light toast body with a touch of hop flavor. I could drink a lot of these.
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 hopscotch (8217) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - JUL 4, 2007
Draft... RBSG 07... Clear, very light golden ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Incredible retention. Odd smelling for a bitter, but I like it. Earthy, woodsy aroma with undercurrents of spent mash and delicately toasted barley. Restrained bitter-sweet flavors of caramel, English-American hybrid hops and boiled grain. Light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, mildly bitter finish.
