COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This English Style Pale Ale is a favorite homebrew recipe of head Brewer Brian Lonberg, scaled up for our much larger system. It is brewed with rye, and flavored with Black, Green and Sichuan Peppercorns, as well as a little fresh Bay Leaf. The body is rich and malty, but not at all heavy, and the rye adds a spicy note; the aroma is perfumed with the Oriental, somewhat tea-like Sichuan Peppercorns and fresh spicy green aroma of the Bay; and the bitterness of the English tasting hop profile is accentuated with the bite and brine of the peppercorns. 6.5% ABV 56 IBUs Malts Used: 2-Row, 6-Row, Crystal, Aromatic, Rye Hops Used: Galena, Challenger, Fuggle, Liberty Yeast: House

Had this at the All Pints North festival in Duluth, MN. Has a nice pepper scent, not overbearing, smooth spicy taste.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Barley Johns. Clear gold amber pour with a soapy clingy head. Mild rye nose. Full creamy palate - not too high on carbonation. Taste is rye and spices - delicious.

Pours a hazy, golden amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is grassy hops and spices. Flavor is sweet malt, grassy, earthy hops, rye, pepper, and other spices with light to medium hoppy bitterness. Medium body with medium carbonation. Pretty good.
