COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In honor of our new Solar Panels, and our “Green Beer,” we present Sun Beam Wheat. Despite the fact that this beer is brewed from 40% wheat malt, it is crystal clear – just like a beam of sunshine. Very light bodied, citrusy, with a nice toasted wheat flavor. Perfect for patio weather.

Pour on tap at the brewpub, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought some grain, grass, slight vanilla, milky yeast notes, hints of slight fruity esters, peach and pear in there, touch of biscuit, slight spice notes come through as well. Taste is a mix of sweet fruits with peach, slight vanilla, more grain, biscuit notes, hints of spice with some slight coriander, finishing grainy, grassy. Eh.

Tap @ Barley Johns. Pours a fairly clear, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Light honey, a bit grainy, herbal aroma. Somewhat soapy, herbal, honey, bitter, light wheat flavor. Bleh.

On tap at BJ, a bit thin and spritzy for a wheat ale, this is more light a strange hybrid to me, taste is crystal malt to me and slight hint of wheat

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap at Barley Johns. Clear light gold pour with a white head and a small amount of lacing. Mild aroma of wheat and citrus. Palate is fairly full for the style - even a bit creamy. Taste is citrus and a nice grassy hop element. Very good example of the style.
