3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled @ GTMW í09 - Pours deep brown with a small white head. Smell is hop-forward with a bit of caramel. Taste is smooth, caramel with a nice hop bite. Didnít get the wild rice on this one, actually. A little watery in the mouth, but smooth enough.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sampled at GTMW 2009 (Madison, WI). Pours a darker brown, small offwhite head tht laces fair enough. A bit hazy, but nothing to write home about. Aromas are cooked wild rice, a bit of vanilla, and nuttiness comes through in fair amounts. An earthy brew, not too much sweetness from brown sugar or the like. Initial is very similar, with light bitterness acting against the rice flavors, nut and almonds, faint vanilla. Finish is light sweetness and bitterness in good balance, nutty aftertaste. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured brown with off-white head, smelled of the wild rice grains with some darker nuts. Overall tasted of earthy and spicy notes with some vanilla in the end. A fairly solid brown ale that is very unique.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
At brewpub. Brown pour with a slightly off white head. One of the better brown ales Iíve had. A nice sweetness of caramel, vanilla, and spices balanced very well with a small dose of hopiness. I could see this as a regular if I was able to visit the brewpub more often.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear brown pour with a medium beige head. Aroma is malty, nutty, and grainy. Rather complex tastes of caramel, grains, vanilla, fruit and other sweet notes, spices, nuts, and a strange sour flavor. A very interesting and enjoyable beer.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Yep a DLD sample. Brown, light head. aroma is typically nutty with a nice heap of caramel. Flavor is full and very nice for a style that is often screwed up. The rice gives it some smoothness and a very intersesting flavor. This would be a nice session beer.

4.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This is by far one of my favorite beers that I commonly will buy. Only available at Barely Johns Brew Pub but you can buy growler jugs to take home. This beer has a darker color than most brown ales but has a very strong nutty taste which is sublime. I highly recommend this beer and this Brew pub. Go There and Enjoy!

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very good brown based on much wild rice brown. That colour and very very lacey. A richness, a sourness, satisfying and unique. Above average mouthfeel. A sweetness which is not like rice, just the malt included. Drying aftertaste.A sipper, one to enjoy.
