Commercial Description:
Made with organic malt and organic German Hallertau hop to come across as a legitimate continental-style pilsner. (That is, more like Pilsner Urquell than the bland lagers normally passed off as ’pilsners’ in these parts.) 26 IBUs

On tap. Too light! Almost see through with a white cap. Not a lot of aroma here at all, just a bit of grain and slight fruit. The taste is fruity with wheat, nicely placed bitterness, hearty bread. Tingly tongue, weak bitterness and a wheaty finish.

Almost clear. Fruity aroma (it’s organic hersbrucker) - lemongrass, shiitake, kiwi...the malts have a great seabreeze character. Flavour is similar but the malt sugar across the tongue fills out the profile while the hops bring a herbaceous dryness to the finish. Still a bit light, but I’m liking what’s there.

My second favourite of the 6 tried. Not sure I would put it with Urquell but it was fresh which I can’t say for many Urquells in Alberta. Pale yellow. At first I thought the nose a little lite for the style but it picked up. Surprising hop bitterness and flavour. Good taste and a hoppy finish.
