6oz sample at CAMRA Spring Sessional. Pours a chestnut brown with ample off white head. Aroma is faint malt, slightly sweet. Taste is full cereal malt, vanilla, maple syrup sweet note. Vibrant mouthfeel. Very nice.

Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - FEB 14, 2010

Slightly hazy amber-nut brown colour. Toasty aroma with light nutty notes and a hint of caramel. Toasty flavour with light nuttiness. Light body. Very drinkable, authentic. It harkens to some of those BC milds we saw in the late 90s (the good Shaftebury Cream for those who remember them in their East Van days, for example).
