frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada Sep 15, 2007 Light mahogany. There is what I suppose to be pepperberry in the aroma. The flavour,, for a brown ale anyway, is quite dry some of the pepperberry shows. Thinnish. GCBF. presario (2405), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Sep 15, 2007 GCBF sample. Dark golden brown. Nice head. Malty berry scent. Light honey peppery flavour and finish. Oakes (6853), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 11, 2007 Hazy brown. Lovely aroma - I guess it’s pepperberry - fruit like juniper and blueberry but with a shade of heat as well. Nice backing malts take this across the palate beautifully. The body is a bit thin but the pepperberry and toasty brown malt flavours are not only well-realized but work very well together. CapFlu (3292), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 10, 2007 (Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2007 in Victoria on September 7th, 2007. Nose of grape Hubba Bubba and peppers. Flavour is mildly caramel malt but pretty bland overall.
