argo0 (6176), Washington DC, USA May 22, 2008 (750ml bottle) Medium white head atop hazy, flecked straw body. Aroma is grassy/straw, some skunk, light apricot. Taste is medium sweet, grassy, some honey, light skunk. Medium body, some stickiness. CaptainCougar (4638), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 15, 2007 Pours a hazy bright golden with a well-lacing wispy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malts and some doughy yeasty notes with a touch of earthy grass. Starts lightly sweet and pale malty with some good Belgian yeasty notes. Finishes mildly bitter and very true to style. A nice tripel. JorisPPattyn (4282), Antwerpen, Belgium Jan 21, 2007 Pale orange-yellow beer, with a yellowish head. Lactic acid, a bit of wood, aroma of apples, and also some fusels. In the taste, diacetyl joins the fusels, malts, and some powerful alcohol. Well bodied (which sits bad on a tripel), alcoholwarming, slick & even oily. Rather poor, faulted beer which leans heavily on its alcoholcontent. JPDIPSO (4234), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Apr 11, 2008 Hazy/cloudy golden color with a moderate off-white head. Light wheat and spice aromas. Some hints of light fruit and mild citrus as well. Flavors are quite spicy. Mild pear and apples, mix with nutmeg and cinnamon. Alcohol also add quite a spice element. It shows a bit too much strength and not enough depth.
