Ratman197 (5916) - Arvada, USA - OCT 14, 2005
On tap poured an opaque black with a dark brown head. Aromas of bitter roasted malt, coffee, and a bit of bittersweet chocolate. Palate was medium bodied and a bit astringent. Flavors of coffee, bittersweet chocolate, and a hint of molasses with a bittersweet creamy finish.

DJMonarch (9152) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 13, 2006
Barrel Draught from the jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 01/10/2005 Black and slightly rich on the palate with spicy aroma. Some dryness in a bitter roast finish.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 10/20
Rastacouere (5919) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 10, 2005
Completely opaque black pour, covered by a lasting brown head. Big malt dominance goes straight for the coffee, on the way hinting at molasses and cookies which make for a rather sweet brew. Indeed, in mouth, the cream flavours are extreme, procuring a milky edge that pairs with the globally irony character to form an almost corky, basement character that does not really befit an impy. Medium body, fully creamy, slightly lactic. A bit incoherent ultimately.

3fourths (6393) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - OCT 5, 2005
Total butter and popcorn nose. Plain and bland, medium bodied which is somewhat thin for an imperial stout. Probably around 7.5% abv. Really plain... incredibly hard to taste anything other than dull wood.
