Draft from Cask. Light golden to yellow in color. Had a Rocky white head. Wonderful hop aroma. Definitely balanced to the hoppy side, but not harsh. Smooth and easy to drink.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 phaleslu (3534) - Saint Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 19, 2012
Draft in a sampler at Barley’s #1. Pours a cloudy gold color with a small, lasting white head. Aroma of mint, citrusy hops, and sweet malts along with a little snap of grass and herbs. Very clean and fresh. Same for the flavor, which had some clean, bright citrusy hop notes, mint, straw, grass, and pale and sweet malts. Light-medium bodied, with medium carbonation and a refreshingly crisp mouthfeel. A pleasant surprise, the first one on the sampler to really jump out at me.

t: surprisingly a well balanced IPA, Definatly had a nice hop backbone, but was not overly dry. Well done.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Drake (5230) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - AUG 16, 2011
Served on draft at the Smokehouse location. Pours a hazy orange color with a large frothy white head. Decent head retention and lacing. Aroma of earthy and floral hops with nutty notes. The taste is big grapefruit and other citrus hops. Medium bodied.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 theisti (2441) - Leawood, Kansas, USA - APR 13, 2011
5 oz sampler off of the Beer Engine at the brew pub (#2) in Columbus, Ohio. Pour is mostly clear golden orange with a loosely formed off white head. Aroma is quite faint, there is some leafy hops, a touch of citrus and only a hint of toasted malt. The taste picks up with grassy citrus hops, some nice resin grittiness and finishing with the toasted malt. This is much more hop focused, though, and they are the main story. Palate is light bodied, bordering on watery, with the soft fine carbonation and unfiltered mouth feel of the Beer Engine. Nice enough.
2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 jrallen34 (3445) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 26, 2011
The beer pours a cloudy murky orange with a very light tan head with only about a half a finger of retention and poor lacing.
The aroma is light citrus with grapefurit and orange dominating with light hops on the back end.
The taste is really bad. Its all bitter pine mixed with metal and hops. The metal also has an orange taste.
The feel is actually decent but this beer is utterly undrinkable.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 chriso (7063) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 10, 2011
Fron rediscovered notes, presumably on tap at Barleys, Columbus OH in Spring 2010 but my notes are incomplete and on a scrap of loose paper so I’m not 100% sure. No ABV noted. Pale amber colour. Modestly flowery aroma. Quite prominent citric hops in the flavour but it’s not especially bitter or astringent. Smooth mouthfeel with just a hint of sweetness. Not the biggest hop-monster of an IPA but this means it’s very nicely drinkable.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 GJF (1002) - Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA - OCT 3, 2010
I really dug this. Pale straw color, fluffy white head with nice lacing. A creamy palette. Lots of piney hop flavor and a very dry, hoppy finish. This is the best beer I tasted at this brewpub.

Draft@Barleys Pours a cloudy copper with a fizzy white head. The head left rapidly. Has mild hoppy aroma of citrus and spruce. The flavor was subtle and good, hops and spices are very good. Well balanced. Good carbination and mouthfeel. Has a medium body. Very clean and lightly crisp. Has a good finish with a nice aftertaste.
