Firkin version at Barley’s 8th Annual Mini RAF (05/22/10): Pours brownish-black with a thin tan head that recedes to an outer ring quickly. Short stringy lacing on the glass. Chocolatey aroma with notes of roasted malt. Rich and smooth body with flavors of cocoa, sweet malt and coffee. The finish is grainy malt and chocolate with a slightly bitter coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Had on draft at Barleys Mini Real Ale Fest (Columbus). Huge aroma of chocolate chip cookies. The smell on this one was PHENOMINAL. Flavor was sweet, chocolaty and smooth. Truly like drinking a cookie. I loved this beer so much I hunted down the brewer to tell him how delightful it was. I like sweet stouts a lot and this one was right up my alley. Per Scott the brewer, next week he is addding cherries! YUM! This was my favorite beer of the day!
