Brewed to celebrate our 500th batch brewed, we used all Australian Galaxy hope, giving way to distinct grapefruit, mango and passionfruit notes while not backing off from the assertive hop bitterness you’ve grown to expect.

Note: Brewed at the Barley’s Smokehouse and Brewpub.

On tap at Barleys Smokehouse. Pours a clear orange with a thin white head. Aroma of Belgian yeast, spices, clove, stinky hops. Flavor of sweet fruits, Belgian yeast, grassy hops, bitter finish. Perhaps more Belgiany than IPA-like but still decent hoppiness/bitterness. Good beer. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

Poured on draft. Pale hazy yellow with a white head of foam. Aroma is yeasty and bitter. It’s a bit...odd. Floral would be about as good a way to describe this beer as I can find. Taste is bitter and floral again. I can’t quite get into this one, but it is definitely an interesting beer.

Draft. Poured hazy amberr with an average frothy white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Moderate earthy hop, fruit and yeast aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium smooth bittersweet finish of moderate duration. A very good beer.

On tap at the Smokehouse on 10/28/11. Cloudy gold pour with a medium white head. Aroma of banana, bubble gum, pepper, pear and grassy hop. Flavor starts with banana, then moves to peppery yeast, grassy hops and a bit of fruit before a bitter hop finish.

On draught at Barley’s Smokehouse. This beer is a hazy orange-gold color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, tropical fruit and hops. Medium body with flavors of peppery yeast, citrus, pineapple and hops. Some sweet malt in the background. The finish is yeast at first and leaves a mildly spiced hops aftertaste. Above average overall.
