sliffy (1930), Columbus, Ohio, USA Apr 13, 2008 On tap @ the Smokehouse: Pours a clear copper with a white head. Aroma, caramel and an earthy herbal hop presence, some citrus. Flavor, caramel, pale malts, citrus and earthy notes. Pretty tasty. edden (886), cow- lumbus, Ohio, USA Apr 12, 2008 4/11/08: On tap @ Smokehouse. Light brown-orange body with a small, creamy off-white head. Some lace. Fresh, citrus hop nose. This beer has a really bitter hop flavor with a touch of caramel malt that is quickly overpowered by, yes… bitterness. Darkover (1189), Columbus, Ohio, USA Mar 29, 2008 Clear copper color with a small beige head. Aroma of citrus hops and sweet malts. Flavor of hops and bready malts. Leans more towards an english pale ale and seems maltier than the regular pale ale. Dogbrick (2166), Columbus, Ohio, USA Mar 19, 2008 On draught at Barley’s Smokehouse. This re-tooled Pale pours a clear orange-amber color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes steadily. Aroma of citrusy hops and sweet malt. Medium-bodied and moderately bitter with hops and citrus flavors, plus a touch of toasted malt and spice. The finish is hoppy and short with just a hint of lingering orange/grapefruit. Decent overall.
